About the Artist
My name is Wendy Bridevaux, and I am a mother of two beautiful twins, a
teacher, and an artist in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Even though I am very
busy, I still find time to create.   I love to paint and create upcycled
jewelry, clothes, and accessories.

I was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana (near New Orleans).  My
mother is an accomplished artist, and she started giving me art lessons at an
early age. I also started making jewelry at the age of seven.  Today I
consider myself blessed that she I am able to focus on my three passions:
being a mother, teaching, and creating art.
My mother, Cath Wilson, is to be credited for teaching, inspiring, and guiding me in life and in my
art.  Please check out her beautiful New Orleans art at
www.neworleansartbycath.com.
My father, Richard Z. Wilson has always encouraged me in everything I do.  His modern and
abstract paintings have been finely sculptured then painted in bold, vivid colors producing a three
dimensional, high definitional appearance.

Before I had twins, I sold paintings in Jackson Square in
the French Quarter.  Here I am with some of my paintings.
Here are my twins with t-shirts I appliqued for them.  Violet has a flower with
a vintage mother of pearl button and James has a truck with button wheels.
