My name is Wendy Bridevaux, and I am a teacher and artist in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana. I love to paint, make jewelry, teach 7th and 8th grade math and
science, and teach art. I sell my paintings on Jackson Square in the French
Quarter on weekends.
I was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana (near New Orleans). My mother
is an accomplished artist, and she started giving me art lessons at an early age.
I also started making jewelry at the age of seven. Today I consider myself
blessed that she I am able to focus on my three passions: teaching, painting,
and making jewelry.
My mother, Cath Wilson, is to be credited for teaching, inspiring, and guiding me in her life and in
my art. Please check out her beautiful New Orleans art at www.neworleansartbycath.com.
My father, Richard Z. Wilson has always encouraged me in everything I do. His modern and
abstract paintings have been finely sculptured then painted in bold, vivid colors producing a three
dimensional, high definitional appearance.
